Open and cosmopolitan, Biarritz is one of the most prestigious seaside resorts on the Atlantic coast and one of the most welcoming cities in France that has preserved its identity.

The duration of the program is 2 weeks. Arrival is on Sunday02/07/2023 before 1 p.m., and departure is on Saturday15/07/2023.

Französisch Kurse
20 lektionen / wOche

French lessons take place on campus in adapted classrooms, from Monday to Friday.
The juniors are divided into groups of levels of up to 14 learners. The written and oral tests are done on the first day of classes.

Sunday evening, a meeting is organized to introduce staff members, hand over  schedules and divide students into groups.

 

Der Sprachunterricht findet von Montag bis Freitag in der Residenz statt. Unsere Teilnehmer werden entsprechend ihres Niveaus in Lerngruppen bis zu 14 Schülern zugeteilt. Dafür findet ein schriftlicher und mündlicher Sprachtest am ersten Kurstag statt.

Sonntag Abend wird eine Willkommenstreffen organisiert, um die Mitarbeiter vorzustellen, Zeitpläne zu übergeben und die Schüler in entsprechende Gruppen einzuteilen.

Sportliche Aktivitäten
4 surf sessions / wOche

Surf lessons

A swim test will be held at the beginning of the stay. All participants in the junior program in Biarritz must know how to swim. All surf levels are accepted.

Surf lessons will be held 4 times a week for 1h30. Schedules may vary depending on the tides and weather conditions. In case of bad conditions that would make surfing impossible, canceled sessions will be postponed by the provider or replaced by sport activities.

During the surf lessons, the young students will be divided into groups of 8 maximum with a surf instructor graduated from a State Patent of surfing instructor or a BPJEPS mention: surf (Professional Certificate of the Youth, of the Popular Education and Sport).

The teachers will address a theme on this sport during class time to facilitate the understanding of surf lessons and to address local sporting events.

The practice of surfing will allow juniors to communicate and exchange on a common interest and share in French and will participate in group dynamics, cohesion and solidarity.

 

 

 

Surfunterricht

Zu Beginn des Aufenthalts wird ein Schwimmtest durchgeführt. Alle Teilnehmer des Juniorenprogramms in Biarritz müssen schwimmen können.

Der Surfunterricht wird 4 Mal pro Woche nachmittags für 1h30 organisiert. Die Stundenpläne können je nach Gezeiten und Wetterbedingungen variieren. Bei schlechten Bedingungen, die das Surfen unmöglich machen, werden die Kurse auf einen anderen Zeitpunkt verschoben, oder durch Multi-Sport-Einheiten ersetzt.

In Gruppen von maximal 8 Personen werden unsere Teilnehmer von Surflehrern begleitet, die über ein staatliches Patent für Surflehrer oder ein BPJEPS-E: Surf (Berufszeugnis der Jugend, der Volksbildung und des Sports) verfügen.

Unsere Sprachlehrer werden während des Unterrichts Themen um den Surfsport ansprechen, um das Verständnis während des Surfkurses zu erleichtern und von lokalen Sportereignissen zuberichten.

Die Praxis des Surfens erleichtert es unseren Teilnehmern, sich über gemeinsame Interessen auf Französisch auszutauschen und fördert die Gruppendynamik, Zusammenhalt und Solidarität.

ANIMATIONSprogramm

The Teens Program of International House Biarritz has a wide choice of activities in addition to the sport sessions:

– The arrival of the Juniors takes place on Sunday before 1 p.m. A city tour and a swim test are scheduled on Sunday.
– One cultural visit per week (half-day excursion or social and cultural activity on Wednesday afternoon and a full day on Saturday in Bayonne, Saint Jean de Luz, Biarritz, Hendaye)
– Social and cultural activities : 4 events per week, before or after the sports sessions, to allow students to practice French together (football tournaments,beach volley competitions, quizzes, photo competitions, treasure hunts …).
– Evenings to promote exchanges: the Sunday, Wednesday and Friday evenings are organized by International House Biarritz to promote exchanges between students (evening on the beach, bowling, cinema …). The other evening are free.

 

Das Juniorenprogramm von France Langue Biarritz bietet zusätzlich zum Sport zahlreiche  Aktivitäten:

– Eine Stadtrundfahrt am Ankunftsmontag für neue Studenten
– Jeweils ein kultureller Besuch pro Woche (halbtägiger Ausflug am Mittwochnachmittag und / oder Ganztags am Samstag in Bayonne, Saint Jean de Luz, Biarritz, Hendaye)
– Jeden zweiten Tag soziale Aktivitäten, Spaß und Sport (Fußball, Beachvolleyball, Quiz, Fotowettbewerb, Schatzsuche …)
– Abendanimation am Freitag (Abend am Strand, Bowling, Kino …). Andere Nächte sind frei.

Unterkunft mit vollpension

The domaine de la Pignada residence consist of 4 hectares of greenery, ideally located between the historical center of Bayonne and the Grande Plage of Biarritz.

The residence has 110 rooms, 2 restaurants and numerous sport equipments : mini golf, swimming pool, pelota wall, equipped gymnasium, soccer and rugby fields.

Comfortable and secured, the domain of Pignada is the perfect venue to receive the young people for their language holidays.

During their stay, the students will be accommodated in rooms of 2 to 8 people.

A laundry is planned once a week. Bedsheets are included.

The meals are taken all together in the residence. Packed lunches are provided for weekday lunches and excursions. Special diets may be taken into account if the school is informed at the time of booking.

Unterkunft mit Vollpension in einer Residenz , 14-16 Jahre 

Lycee Etxepare bietet einen Campus, ideal im Norden der Stadt gelegen, mit einfachem Zugang (Privatbus) zum Strand und den kulturellen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Die Residenz verfügt über 20 Zimmer, jeweils mit Platz für 4 Personen und eigenem Bad. Ein großer Essbereich und verschiedene Sportgeräte (Pelotawand, ausgestattete Turnhalle, Fußball- und Rugbyfelder) stehen ebenfalls direkt auf dem Campus zur Verfügung.

Verpflegung: Mahlzeiten werden gemeinschaftlich in der Residenz eingenommen. Für Mittagessen und Ausflüge an Wochentagen werden Lunchpakete zur Verfügung gestellt. Spezielle Diäten können berücksichtigt werden, wenn die Schule zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung informiert wird.

Komfortabel und sicher ist der Komplex des Lycée Etxepare der perfekte Ort, um junge Leute für ihren Sprachurlaub zu empfangen.

Nützliche informationen

Security

The school requests a medical certificate or signed statement from parents for each junior (medical history and recommendations).

Exit permissions

For insurance and security reasons, students are not allowed to go out at night.

The standards of supervision

– One teacher in charge of 14 juniors maximum per group
– A leader in charge of 12 juniors maximum per group on excursion
– A bathing supervisor and a supervisor in charge of 8 juniors max during activities in the water.
– A director for 100 students and a deputy for every 50 additional minors.
A weekly schedule is set up as well as the control of the number of minors accommodated. An emergency number will be set up.

Transportation

The program takes place on a 24-hour supervized camp. Transportation to and from the activities and excursions will be led by our group leaders. They are made by public transportation. 

Transfers

Transfers are included from Biarritz Airport or Biarritz or Bayonne train stations. A member of the International House Biarritz team will pick up the student on arrival andaccompany him/her on the day of departure. The details of the trip must be confirmed 15 days before the arrival of the student at the latest (place and time ofarrival, flight number …).

Transferts from / to another city than Biarritz / Bayonne are not included.

 

 

Sicherheit

Um sicherzustellen, wo sich die einzelnen Teilnehmer befinden, prüft France Langue Biarritz regelmässig die Anwesenheit der Schüler.

Wir verlangen ebenfalls für jeden Schüler ein ärztliches Attest oder eine unterschriebene Erklärung von den Eltern (medizische Hintergründe und Empfehlungen).

Ausgangssperre

Schüler dürfen nachts nicht ausgehen.

Aufsichtsstandards

– Ein Lehrer für maximal 14 Teilnehmer pro Gruppe
– Ein Ausflugsleiteiter, der für maximal 12 Junioren pro Gruppe verantwortlich ist
– Eine Badeaufsicht und eine Aufsichtsperson für max. 8 Junioren während der Wasseraktivitäten
– Ein Direktor für 100 Schüler und ein Stellvertreter für jeweils 50 weitere Minderjährige.
Es wird ein Wochenplan erstellt und die Anzahl der untergebrachten Minderjährigen kontrolliert. Eine Notrufnummer wird Jedem mitgeteilt.

Transport

Das Programm findet in einem 24 Stunden betreuten Camp statt. Der Transport zu und von den Aktivitäten und Ausflügen wird von unseren Gruppenleitern organisiert.

Transfertservice

Transfers vom Flughafen oder Bahnhof Biarritz sind inbegriffen. Ein Mitglied des France Langue Teams holt den Schüler bei der Ankunft ab und begleitet ihn auch am Abreisetag. Die Reisedetails müssen spätestens 15 Tage vor der Ankunft des Studenten bestätigt werden (Ort und Zeit der Ankunft, Flugnummer …).

Unsere Ziele

The objective of the course is to improve their oral and written communication, strengthen their vocabulary and grammar points, develop their knowledge of French culture and civilization, and express themselves fluently and fluently in different situations. .

During their courses, the teachers will address the four areas of competence of the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference), namely: oral expression and comprehension and written expression and comprehension.

Ziel des Kurses ist es, die mündliche und schriftliche Kommunikation zu verbessern, Wortschatz und Grammatik zu stärken, die Kenntnisse der französischen Kultur zu erweitern und sich fließend auszudrücken.
 

Unsere Lehrer halten sich dabei an die vier Kompetenzbereichen des GER (Gemeinsamer europäischer Referenzrahmen): mündlicher Ausdruck und Verstehen und schriftlicher Ausdruck und Verstehen.

Die entwickelten Inhalte sind handlungsorientiert und umfassen zahlreiche Aktivitäten, die auf das Publikum und das Niveau der Gruppen abgestimmt sind und so den mündlichen Ausdruck fördern und gleichzeitig die Grundlagen des geschriebenen Wortes legen.

Das Lehrerteam bietet durch spielerische Bildungsaktivitäten, wie Gruppen- oder Paaraktivitäten in der Klasse und Interaktionen mit anderen Niveaugruppen einen attraktiven, angenehmen und unterhaltsamen Unterricht.

Unsere innovative Methode

Kooperatives Lernen im Rahmen von Sprachkursen basiert auf dem Üben und Anwenden der Sprache in realen Situationen. Der Unterricht ist nicht mehr nur auf das Klassenzimmer beschränkt, er wird auch ausserhalb fortgeführt (direkte Anwendung ausserhalb der Schule, auf der FL OnLine-Plattform, oder dem von FL angebotenen MOOC).
