French & Festival de Cannes in Nice

For lovers of the 7th art, this international film festival is the most important in the world, known for its glamorous side, its climbing of the steps and the parade of the greatest international artists.

It takes place every year in Cannes, a city neighboring Nice, where many events open to the public take place alongside the festival.

The program at a glance

International House Nice (Liberation) offers you in this program:

16 general French lessons per week
A stroll in Nice and its surroundings accompanied by a representative of our school IH Nice (Liberation)
A cultural sheet to play a treasure hunt in the city with educational support (lexicon, historical content, etc.) to explore a district, a museum, typical places in the region
A cinema ticket for a film of your choice
A ticket for an open-air film in Cannes (return Nice-Cannes train ticket offered)
An access to our Online School with a virtual visit and a thematic meeting

General French – 16 lessons per week

International House Nice (Liberation) offers courses for all levels, from elementary A2 to intermediate-upper level B2. 16 lessons of 45 minutes each week, spread over 4 days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) in the morning.

The objective is to immerse you in a French-speaking environment to enable you to get by on a daily basis.

You will be placed in a group of similar level after an oral test on Monday morning. And when you leave, you will receive a certificate which will mention the number of courses taken and the level of French reached.

And in addition to face-to-face courses, we also offer 4 online courses: 2 virtual visit courses and 2 online thematic meeting courses.

our objectives

International House Nice (Liberation) has designed an online level test to guarantee the constitution of homogeneous classes before your arrival.

In addition, an oral evaluation will be carried out on the first day of class for:

validate your oral level,
check that your level has not changed since the written test,
understand your expectations and needs.

Each class welcomes up to 12 students to promote exchanges and interactions during class.

The teacher will focus on your language needs to adapt and plan his course. This pedagogy requires your commitment in order to optimize your learning of French.

Our practical teaching method will allow you to gain autonomy during your stay in France, by allowing you to understand simple messages and respond appropriately.

Weekly assessments in all classes will measure your progress and ensure your learning is effective. If necessary, the teacher can adjust his teaching or offer you personalized tutoring.

At the end of the program, you will be given a certificate of attendance and participation, including the number of hours of lessons attended and your level of French.
